This is the compilation of American Tract Society Bible Dictionary & Websters English Dictionary. It contains 114,014 definitions and 1,847,018 cross-references. The reason for the high number of cross-references is that each word within a given definition is further linked to its own definition in Webster's Unabridged Dictionary (1913) & American Tract Society Bible Dictionary, if such a definition exists. Authored by Noah Webster (1758–1843). He spent decades of research in compiling his dictionaries and this edition contains some 111715 entries. It holds 2299 entries on topics related to The Bible and is for general use in the study of its scriptures. It can be classified as a required reference book for any good study library, first published in 1859 by William Rand.
